In a statement, Fatf said, “Kumar has become an advocate who is eager to supervise global terror financing and firmly believe in his mission and ability to make global differences. He has led Singapore’s delegation at FATF since 2015.”

1. Raja Kumar holds the title of LLB (Hons.) From the National University of Singapore, and Master of Philosophy (Criminology & Law) of Cambridge University. Kumar also attended the advanced management program at Harvard University in 2006.
2. Kumar has held various senior leadership roles in the Ministry of Home Affairs in Singapore and Singapore Police for more than 35 years.
3. At present, he serves as a senior (international) advisor to the country’s Ministry of Home Affairs. Before this, he was the Deputy Secretary (International) in the Ministry from January 2015 to July 2021 and simultaneously became the Head of the Academy of the Home Team Antara 2014 and 2018.
4. Kumar is also a former Deputy Commissioner of the Police (Policy), Director of the Department of Police Intelligence, and Deputy Director of the Department of Commercial Affairs.
