Animal kingdoms are full of surprises. Many species have unique and extraordinary abilities that not only help them fight predators but also keep them safe in adverse situations. Among these animals are octopus, who lives in the deep sea.
A video that became viral on social media shows the extraordinary abilities of octopus to change colors according to the surroundings.
Posted on Twitter by Wonder of Science, a 23 -second video shows Cephalopod moves around the seabed and changes the skin color according to the fauna around.
The camera follows the mollusks around until it settles in the ground and converts its appearance to substances such as shellfish.
The video has been credited to Nick Ruberg and sees more than 1.5 million times. Initially posted by Viralhog in 2016, this video became viral again.
Twitter users fall in love with octopus and flood social media with their reaction.
“So that doesn’t just change the color but the texture of the meat? How?” asked one user. “Amazing! This is the original mystical,” said another, posting popular characters from the X-Men comic book.
“You know that octopus actually has the nature of reflecting light like how the chameleon has crystals that reflect light to disguise and if I have the power of mantis shrimp then I will be unbeaten. Because it changes water into plasma by punching and making cavity bubbles,” a user was posted.
Octopus always surprised the inhabitants of the soil with their heads and large tentacles. A few years ago, a rainbow -colored “Octopus” blanket video has fascinated the internet.
Sea animals are filmed at night in the Lembeh Strait, Indonesia. The video shows a blanket of swimming octopus in the water, creating a rainbow -colored silhouette, like a blanket that is actually intended to frighten the attackers.
