Amaharashtra Covid’s task members have said the third wave of Pandemic Covid-19 has begun. Dr. Rahul Pandit, a member of the task force, said it was “reasonable” to conclude that the third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic had, at least, starting in several groups in Delhi and Mumbai.
Dr. Rahul Pandit said the initial trend and data on the sequencing of the genome was still awaited but the Covid-19 wave appeared to have been revived in India.
“The rate in which multiplied cases shows that this is an omicron characteristic. But we are waiting for the genome sequencing report in the last few days to understand the Omicron section. At present, it looks like a combination of delta and Omicron,” said Dr. Rahul Pandit to India Today Today TV.
The Covid-19 task task member said that someone had to wait about ten days or more to see the inpatient level vis-a-vis increases in the case.
Dr. Rahul Pandit’s statement came as Mumbai and Delhi recorded exponential growth in Covid-19 cases daily. Both Mumbai and Delhi are one of the main Covid-19 hotspots during the second wave earlier this year.
When asked whether there would be locking in the coming days, Dr. Rahul Pandit said that the call would be taken by the Maharashtra government, given the health infrastructure in mind.
While many questioned the logic behind 9pm to 6 in the morning, experts have justified government steps.
“9 PM up to 6 am the kuncian has many symbolic interests. This sends messages to people to be more aware of the current situation,” said Dr. Rahul Pandit.
