Minister of External Minister Jaishankar on Wednesday that human rights issues are not a topic of discussion during the MINISTER OF US Minister 2 + 2 of India this week, when he stressed that every time a discussion, New Delhi would not remain silent.
“On human rights issues; no, we do not discuss human rights during this meeting. This meeting is mainly focused on military-military affairs,” Jaishankar told reporters when he concluded his journey here, which was mainly to attend the Minister of India 2 + 2 Together with Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.
Responding to questions, Jaishankar said that while human rights issues were not discussed during the current meeting, it had emerged in the past.
“This is a subject that has emerged in the past. It appears when the Blinken Secretary comes to India. I think if you remember the press briefing after that I was very open about the fact that we had discussed it and said what to say,” he said.
“So let me put it in this direction so there is clarity about where we stand in this problem,” he added.
“Listen, people have the right to have a view about us. But we also have the right to have a view of their views and about interests, and the lobby and sound banks that encourage it. So, every time there is a discussion, I can tell you that we will not be confused to speak, “He said.
“I will tell you that we also take our views on other people’s human rights situations, including the United States. So, we take human rights problems when they appear in this country, especially when they relate to our community. And in fact. , We have yesterday’s case “it’s really where we stand on top of it,” he said.
