Vaishno Devi Stampede News Direct Update: At least 12 people have died, and some injured in the raid, triggered by severe worshipers on New Year’s Day, at Vaishno Devi’s eyes which are famous on the hill of Tributa in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said Saturday.
Khattar, Amarinder, Badal Condole Loss of Lives in Vaishno Devi Stampede
Minister of Minister Haryana Manohar Lal Khattar, his former Punjab Amarinder Singh and several other leaders on Saturday spent loss of life in a raid at Vaishno Devi’s eyes in Jammu and Kashmir. At least 12 people were killed and more than a dozen were injured in the stampede that occurred at around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday near the number three gate outside the Sanctum Sanctorum from the Temple on the hill of Tribika, about 50 km from Jammu.

Former Punjab Head of Minister Amarinder Singh said, “My deep condolences to mourning families who lost loved ones in storming at the #matavaihnodevi Temple. I pray for a quick and complete recovery of those who are injured.” Shiromani Akali Dal Chief Sukhbir Singh Badal and former Union Minister of Harsimrat Kaur Badal expressed a surprise for the incident.
Vaishno Devi Shrine Stampede: Locals Protest Against Shrine Board
Local residents protested Vaishno Devi’s eyes holding the administration responsible for the raid. They said that the authorities allow more people to the temple rather than capacity.
