Flash calls are additional layers above SMS verification during the registration process on WhatsApp. Users can verify their numbers through automatic calls when preparing their WhatsApp account.
WhatsApp flash call is currently only available on Android. These features must be released on iOS in the coming days. This feature allows WhatsApp call users and verify their identity without having to rely on SMS verification. The company states that this verification method is a safer option because it takes place in the application itself.
The message level reporting feature on WhatsApp helps users report messages in an easier way. Someone can prevent the message long enough to report or block users. The new WhatsApp feature introduced today is additional with a list of security features on the platform. WhatsApp gives users controls about who can see their profile photos, status, last visible and about detail. It also allows users to choose settings around the group invitation, which also includes do not allow anyone to add it in groups without their permission. WhatsApp also provides option users to block certain accounts if needed.

WhatsApp for Beta Desktop Update 2.2146.5 allows users to have more control over privacy features. Users will be able to manage visible last profile photos, and about direct pages from WhatsApp Web and WhatsApp for desktop clients. There is no official word when the WhatsApp privacy feature will be available for all desktop users and web applications.
